Help finding The Chocolate House

The Chapel Street area has several good cafes, quaint pubs, bistros, boutiques, and quality restaurants. There are studios, art galleries, book shops and antique shops all within the immediate area.

How to get here

The cottage is only a 7 minute walk from Penzance railway station and the coach and bus station, and we hope you may consider leaving your car at home and travelling to Penzance another way.

Penzance is 300 miles from London, 270 miles from Birmingham, and 190 miles from Bristol.

The local public transport by bus is good, regular and reliable, and is the best way to get around West Cornwall.

By rail: First Great Western run an hourly service from London to Penzance throughout the year and the journey takes about 5 hours. Crosscountry Trains run from Birmingham to Penzance, also hourly and also taking about 5 hours. During the summer months, there is a sleeper service on the Night Riviera train from London to Penzance.

By coach: National Express operates direct services to Penzance from many destinations, including London, Birmingham and Bristol.

By air: There are direct flights to Newquay Airport from London, Manchester, Leeds/Bradford, Newcastle and Glasgow. Services are operated by Air Soutwest and BMIbaby. There are connections by bus and rail from Newquay to Penzance, and car hire is available at the airport.

By car: If you do travel by car, please allow for some heavy traffic during the summer months. Follow the A30 to the centre of Penzance, then follow signs to town centre; at the top of Market Jew Street turn left into Chapel Street. There is private parking available for visitors.
