How to get here

The cottage is only a 7 minute walk from Penzance railway station and the coach and bus station. Penzance is 300 miles from London, 270 miles from Birmingham, and 190 miles from Bristol.

By rail: First Great Western run an hourly service from London to Penzance throughout the year and the journey takes about 5 hours. Crosscountry Trains run from Birmingham to Penzance, also hourly and also taking about 5 hours.There is a sleeper service on the Night Riviera Express from London to Penzance.

By coach: National Express operates direct services to Penzance from many destinations, including London, Birmingham and Bristol.

By air: There are direct flights to Newquay Airport from London, Manchester, East Midlands, Norwich, Newcastle, Edinburgh and Glasgow. Services are operated by Flybe and BMIbaby. There are connections by bus and rail from Newquay to Penzance, and car hire is available at the airport.

By car: If you do travel by car, please allow for some heavy traffic during the summer months. Follow the A30 to the centre of Penzance, then follow signs to town centre; at the top of Market Jew Street turn left into Chapel Street. There is private parking available for visitors.

The local public transport by bus is good, regular and reliable, and is the best way to get around West Cornwall.
